Senior Web Developer, External Relations

Works closely with Interactive Designers and the Creative Director, to help transform their mockups, comps, and ideas into engaging and user-friendly web products. Responsible for updating, maintaining, and adding features to the University of California Drupal site, which uses a Grunt build process and Sass for styling. Developed a custom UC Food Observer WordPress theme, built on Bootstrap, with Less for styling. Created UC Startups data visualization using D3, Marionette, and Backbone. Collaborated on Public Office module on the Power of Public website which uses Backbone and Require.js. Developed an Admissions Calculator and UTM link builder using React and Webpack. Developed a series of responsive website templates using Bootstrap, Grunt build processes, and Bower. Introduced and led a Gitflow workflow for collaborative, version controlled development. Also introduced Slack to our Marketing department to improve collaboration and communication.

I designed and developed websites for over 50 campus departments and groups including the Department of Medicine, Division of Biological Sciences, and the Wm. K. Warren Medical Research Center for Celiac Disease.

Recently, I developed a PHP-based web interface for an internal billing database that was originally based on MS Access.

My proudest work has been leading three redesign efforts of the main ACMS department and recently migrating the site into the Hannon Hill Cascade Server and a Responsive theme.

Using WordPress as a CMS platform, I designed and developed sites for lawyers, small businesses, artists, and architects. My favorite projects include The Sox Box, Hubbell and Hubbell Architects, Martin Structural Consulting, and front-end development for Gary & Mary West Foundation.
